Honahar Scholarship Program 2024: On the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the talent scholarship program has started the registration of students. The initiative aims to meet the needs of the global job market by offering scholarships to 30,000 students annually in 68 fields.

Universities and Colleges: Scholarships are available to students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges.
Private Universities: Merit scholarships will also be awarded to students from top private institutions like LUMS, FAST, COMSATS, NUST, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, and 7 more.

The Honahar Scholarship Program will provide scholarships worth Rs 130 billion over the next 8 years. Over the next 4 years, 120,000 students will benefit from this program, which will help talented students overcome financial barriers to pursuing higher education. Students can apply online at honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Domicile of any district of Punjab.
- Age should be less than 22 years on the last date of application.
- Family income should be less than Rs. 300,000 per month (affidavit required)
- Enroll in selected subjects at accredited universities/colleges for Fall 2024.
- Minimum marks required:
- Medical Colleges: 80%
- Top Universities: 80%
- Public Sector Universities: 75% for Sciences, 70% for Arts and Social Sciences
- HED Colleges: 65% for Sciences, 60% for Arts and Social Sciences
