The Government of Cuba has offered three undergraduate scholarships in the field of Medicine (MBBS) for Pakistani students for the year 2025. This fully-funded scholarship is announced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad.

Benefits of the Cuban Government MBBS Scholarship
The selected students will receive:
- Full Tuition Fee Coverage
- Hostel Accommodation & Toiletries
- Food (as per Cuban Government rules)
- Living Stipend (Limited amount in Cuban Pesos)
Expenses to be Covered by the Student/Guardian
- Round-trip air tickets
- Halal food (if required)
- Medical insurance (disease or other causes)
- Living expenses
- Visa fees
Additionally, HEC will provide a one-time grant of PKR 300,000 to the scholarship awardee after their departure to Cuba. The scholar must have a valid bank account in Pakistan.
Eligibility Criteria for HEC Cuban Government MBBS Scholarship 2025
- Educational Requirement: At least 70% marks in FSc/A-Level (Pre-Medical) & 60% marks in Matric/O-Level.
- Age Limit: 18-25 years as of the application closing date.
- MDCAT Requirement: Minimum 50% marks as per PMDC rules.
- USAT-M Test: A valid USAT-M test score obtained on or after March 28, 2024, is mandatory.
- Selection Criteria: Final selection will be based on the USAT-M test score only.

- Apply Online: Visit HEC Scholarship Portal.
- Register & Complete Profile: Select “Learning Opportunities Abroad.”
- Submit the Application: Print and sign a copy after submission.
- Deadline: The last date to apply online is March 28, 2025.
Required Documents (For Shortlisted Candidates Only)
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit the following documents:
- Signed copy of the HEC application form
- SSC Certificate/Degree with IBCC attestation or O-Level Certificate with equivalence
- FSc Certificate/Degree with IBCC attestation or A-Level Certificate with equivalence
- Birth Certificate issued by NADRA
- Father/Guardian’s CNIC copy
- No Criminal Record Certificate (Original)
- Photocopy of a valid passport (with more than 6 months validity)
- Original Medical Certificate (including HIV/AIDS test) issued by a Government DHQ Hospital, attested by MoFA

- No hard copies are required at the initial stage.
- The Cuban Government funds this scholarship; HEC does not bear any additional financial responsibility.
