Objective (20 Marks)
Question 1 – Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
Synonyms (10 Marks)
3 synonyms will be asked from Book II (Prose)
3 synonyms will be selected from Book II (Heroes)
4 synonyms will be taken from the novel Goodbye Mr. Chips
Prepositions (5 Marks)
5 MCQs will be based on common prepositions used in everyday English
Correct Sentences – Parts of Speech (5 Marks)
5 questions related to identifying and correcting parts of speech in sentences
Subjective (80 Marks)
Question 2 (12 Marks)
Answer any 6 out of 9 short questions from Book II (Prose Section). These questions test comprehension and the ability to express answers clearly.
Question 3 (12 Marks)
Attempt 6 out of 8 short questions from Book II (Heroes Section). Students should focus on key characters and themes.
Question 4 (16 Marks)
Attempt 8 out of 12 short questions from Goodbye Mr. Chips. These questions are based on important events, quotes, and character analysis from the novel.
Question 5 (15 Marks)
Write one essay out of four given topics. This section requires clear ideas, structure, grammar, and creativity to score well.
Question 6 (10 Marks)
Use any 5 out of 8 idioms or phrases in meaningful sentences. Practice commonly used idioms beforehand for better performance.
Question 7 (15 Marks)
Urdu medium students will translate an Urdu paragraph into English
English medium students will write a paragraph in English on a given topic
